TEDTalk Event

On this special occasion, the stage was taken by seven speakers, consisting of 12th-grade students as well as volunteer students from different levels. Each of them captivated the audience and sparked reflection through original and thought-provoking talks that explored the dynamics of the 21st century from various perspectives. The program was further enriched by two musical interludes, offering the audience pleasant moments to pause and enjoy.

The themes addressed closely reflected the pulse of today’s world: the ways individuals defend their ideas, cyber awareness and digital literacy, an exploration of the concept of self, the strong connection between psychology and music, a deeper look into the nature of lies, and the nuances of contemporary Gen Z terminology.

Each talk served as a space for discovery, providing the audience with fresh perspectives.

Guided by their English teachers, our students worked diligently on their speeches for nearly four months before presenting them to an audience of 120 people. More than a simple presentation exercise it was a real stage experience where they strengthened their confidence and developed their public speaking skills. By engaging the audience with questions during their presentations, the speakers transformed their talks into a lively, interactive, and memorable experience for everyone.

Here is what one of the speakers had to say about this unforgettable experience: “Giving a TED Talk was an incredibly enriching experience for me, as I had never delivered such an informative talk before. It was a wonderful opportunity to improve my public speaking skills. Once I stepped onto the stage, I gradually began to feel more at ease as my talk progressed. The other speakers’ presentations were also very insightful; they offered me new perspectives in areas such as psychology, music, and technology. This experience will remain unforgettable for me, and I am now proud to say that I have given a TED Talk!”
